Galactic Solutions Industries was a weapons manufacturing company that was founded by inventor and business tycoon Addalar Hyland Addalar Hyland (Human) Character Minor Characters (Cold War era) as the Galactic War broke out between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire. A neutral corporation, GSI dealt weapons to both governments, and frequently hired various individuals to aid its many research divisions in their efforts to develop new weapons technologies and military gear. During the Cold War and beyond GSI's headquarters were located on Nar Shaddaa Nar Shaddaa Planet at the Promenade. During this period GSI often sought out high-profile business partners willing to provide resources and research data from the front line. The corporation had a very diverse business, with many divisions covering each specific area, including the Starfighter Division, Animal Weaponization Division, Superweapons Division and Natural Weapons Division. The company was still in business during the New Sith Wars, a conflict between the Republic and the Sith over two thousand years after GSI's founding, and the company's disruptor pistols were favorites of a soldier named Dessel Darth Bane (Human) Character Major Characters in the Sith Brotherhood of Darkness.
